Benton and Sherburne Counties

Background:
The goal of Benton Sherburne KFT is to decrease child removal and increase family reunification by providing supports and services to increase housing stability for families with child welfare involvement.
Impact:
Benton Sherburne KFT partners are working together in new ways:
- Parent Advisory Board provides regular feedback on KFT program and processes that is incorporated into programming
- Targeted housing support to families allows child welfare staff to focus solely on reasons for involvement in the system. One Child Protection Social worker stated, “I Love KFT, they are a huge stress relief!”
- New cross-sector intervention with county child welfare and housing providers working together to strategically partner on supporting families
